OnlineHost:  Sweet Andante has entered the room.
InfiniteXChaos:  The vampire when laughed when paid her compliments to the
room.  He loved her excitement.  Those eatable lips of Massie's curled into a
smile as she said she was staying.  "Glad to hear it, girl friend," he
grinned, and plopped down
InfiniteXChaos:  on the foot of her bed, bouncing the mattress as he did.  He
knew exactly what she meant when she said she was addicted.  "We are all,
sweets.  We are like a bag of hard candy melted in the sun, we are all glued
together like one,
InfiniteXChaos:  but we all have our own colors," he likened.  He cocked a
brow when she asked when they were from...Maybe she meant where, maybe she
did mean when, as in what time.  "We all lived in New Orleans when we met.
Mark was from LA
InfiniteXChaos:  originally, and Katherine from Georgia.  Why that is where
she gets that hint of sweet southern accent.  Rob, well, he is pure swamp
rat," he laughed.  "I was born here as well, moved around, an army brat, but
came back here when I
InfiniteXChaos:  was seventeen.  Got tired of my old man pushing me around.
Our age doesn't matter, but just so you know, we are all young as far as
vampires go, a bunch of rock'n'roll hip kids," he snickered.   He shook his
head when she asked if
InfiniteXChaos:  they would have stay pent up for forever. "Hell no.  Right
now, they are just trying to determine how bad it is.  Being cautious and
all.  They will quarantine the city, which means people will be expected to
keep to themselves and
InfiniteXChaos:  contact the medical center if they think they are infected.
Rob says it is a contact disease, not air borne, so it should be pretty easy
to contain unless people act stupid."  Well, some people were stupid and did
have a tendancy
InfiniteXChaos:  to the dumbest things, didn't they?  "Until they get
quarantine signs up at all the roads, and tape off the really hot areas, they
will have road blocks.  Not sure what will happen if it starts spreading like
crazy.  We will just
InfiniteXChaos:  have to bide our time on that I guess.  I would not worry
about your parents, but call them up if it'll make you feel better. "  The
vampire chuckled, amused as her questions kept pouring out of her.   "I will
make you my sweet
InfiniteXChaos:  little thrall when you say the word, darlin'," he teased
with a wolfish waggle of his brows.  "What will happen to you?  You mean..."
before he could answer she asked something else.  "Breathe, Katalina,
breathe!" he told her, his
InfiniteXChaos:  amusement dancing in his hazel eyes.  The vampire hopped off
the bed and held up a finger for her to wait, and vanished through the door.
A few minutes later he came back with a bottle of Maker's Mark in hand.  It
was rather old.
InfiniteXChaos:  Tiber liked it so had stockpiled it, and Massie loved to
steal from Tiber's stash.  The bottle he had was in his own room.  He had
filched it a couple of days ago.  "You drink?" he asked, tossing his head
back to sweep his brunette
InfiniteXChaos:  hair out of his face.  It was shoulder length and always
falling in his face.  He uncapped the bottle and offered her the first hit.
"Now what do you mean what will happen to you?" he asked.  He could not have
explained his
InfiniteXChaos:  relationship with his guitar if he tried.  It was like he
picked a guitar up and magic happened, simple as that.  "My mother bought my
first guitar for me when I was six years old.  I could not even wrap my
fingers around the neck.
InfiniteXChaos:  My old man..." he shook his head.  "Raised hell everytime he
heard me playing.  Cut that **** out!  He would yell at me, so I started
going outside to play.  Ruined my first guitar, a classic guitar, playing in
the rain."  He
InfiniteXChaos:  laughed.  "No one ever told me it would hurt it.  It was
when I got my first electric guitar my old man and I really started hating
each other.  I worked hard for that guitar, and he busted it up into little
pieces.  I glued and
InfiniteXChaos:  duct taped that sucker back together, and played it until my
Mom got me another guitar, my first lead guitar," he grinned.  "So how did
you start playin' the heart beat, huh baby?" he was curious to know.  #
Sweet Andante:  Mm yes, her mind was swimming.  Kat had certainly craved an
answer to every single one of those questions she asked but the answers, in
turn, needed some time to process.  Next time she'd have to give some
breathing time in between
Sweet Andante:  inquiries.  Mark that down as noted.  The first line of
thought she was interested in was the quarantine.  "Yeah, I saw the tape and
the police, but have you been outside?  They look really serious... and if
you'd read any sort of
Sweet Andante:  novel about the end of the world, you would know that at
least one person who is infected always slips out."  She nodded when she was
done there, quite seriously.  It seemed logical to her, panic set in and when
it did, the first
Sweet Andante:  thing humans did was run.  And when someone wants to escape,
the stupidity can lead to genius. "I think I'll hold off on calling my
parents, they'll probably just worry."  And she didn't want to tell them that
she wouldn't be home
Sweet Andante:  for a very long time.  She felt a little pang of regret
there, but the driving force inside her told her to move forward.  Every
fiber of her being told her that this was the turning point in her life, and
she didn't want to regret
Sweet Andante:  leaving that behind.  He must have seen her mouth open at the
end of another string of questions, 'cause Massie stopped her just as she
took the leading breath.  Words almost hanging in her throat, she rocked back
on her heels and
Sweet Andante:  watched him go and come back, curious.  Did she drink?  Ha.
She answered him with an appreciative nod and her fingers around the neck of
the bottle.  Ah, the sweet burn.  She did feel better now.  She left the
clarifications she
Sweet Andante:  needed to make for last and lowered herself gingerly onto the
bed again, determined to sit still during his story.  She did, save a hand to
her mouth at the mention of smashing a guitar.  It was always her first
reaction when an
Sweet Andante:  instrument was destroyed.  Like watching an animal get run
over.  Little tingles up the spine and a shiver.  Kat smiled appreciatively
at Massie when he finished, "I guess that would explain how sweetly you care
for those guitars of
Sweet Andante:  yours, " and launched right into an abbreviated explanation
of her own beginnings, "I actually started on the hand drums when I was ten.
A few months later, I picked up a pair of sticks, real sticks from outside,
little branches...
Sweet Andante:  and started beating on them like they were part of a drum
set."  She laughed, "my father, who was taking care of them for his boss, was
horrified, but he encouraged me to play on a cheap little kit he bought for
me."  She shrugged,
Sweet Andante:  "I fell in love."  It was that simple, too.  "I can't stop
touching them, I dream about my drums, I don't see how any man can compare
really."  She smiled, "current company excepted, of course.  I moved to LA
about half a year ago
Sweet Andante:  to be discovered.  Turns out leaving LA was the best thing I
ever did."  Now she'd clarify.  She caught him up in her gaze again, it was
odd, his eyes were almost the same colour as hers and she had to admit that
it was a little bit
Sweet Andante:  hypnotizing, "Now look, I'
Sweet Andante:  ve heard of vampires in stories, in rumors, in LA, " she
smiled at that last part, it was a colourful city if nothing else, "but I'm
not entirely sure what the process of becomming a thrall is like. Is that
something you can know
Sweet Andante:  before it happens?"  She admitted that she's a planner.  She
liked to know what would happen and be ready for it, "how will I change?"
InfiniteXChaos:  She was right when she said someone always slipped out.  He
nodded.  "They write that because it is inevitable.  Pandemics have happened
before though, down through history, and we are still here, baby.  Worst
thing to do is let it
InfiniteXChaos:  scare you too much.  Panic is a dangerous thing.  Truth is,
Denoir, the head honcho of this city, nearly over-reacted himself, but good
old Lyons talked some sense into him.  Never underestimate the influence of a
rock star," he
InfiniteXChaos:  grinned.  Rob used to work for Denoir when he was still
human, and still did work for him, just in an 'entirely' different way.
Speaking of Rob, Massie was about to comment on her drum tale, and answer he
questions, when
InfiniteXChaos:  Rob appeared at the door, which Massie had left cracked
open.  Rob pushed the open a little further, glanced past Massie at Kat to
upnod a hello to her, then he laid his eyes on Massie.  "A word bro," he
beckoned, and Massie took
InfiniteXChaos:  a hit off that whiskey bottle, slapped Kat's leg
friendly-like, and slipped out into the hallway with Rob, who gripped his arm
and pulled him down to the end of the hallway.  "What goes, man?" He could
tell by the look on Rob's
InfiniteXChaos:  face that it wasn't good.   "Byron contacted us...It did him
injury doing it.  No one there can get here, man.  This is not looking good.
I tried to leave, go to the Inn to put our equipment away, and I could not
pass over the
InfiniteXChaos:  threshold, Massie... and not even the old ones can get here,
or leave here."  Massie shook his head.  "I don't get it...What are you
saying, man?  That the end of the world is here?" he laughed.  Ron just
stared at him, and he was
InfiniteXChaos:  not laughing.  Massie's smile faded for the most part, just
a ghost of a smile still lingering as he shook his head.  "Naw...Rob there
could be a thousand other explainations.  Maybe some big dude in the sky
decided the devil
InfiniteXChaos:  being here was too much and closed all the ramps, you know?"
Rob shook his head.  "It's coming man."  Massie's cheeks tightened and he was
still shaking his head.  He could not take that again...Starving in a
InfiniteXChaos:  dark, stuffy basement for years on end...Until finally he
begged to be torped and left that way until he woke again...all the
deaths...and their new band member...What about her??  "Why are you telling
me this?" He sounded
InfiniteXChaos:  *Rob)
InfiniteXChaos:  (****ing SLAMMED with distractions here lol, bear with me)
InfiniteXChaos:  angry and he was.  "Because I need you to be there for us
when the **** comes down, amigo.  Tiber left and he cannot come back...Rhia
is out of town and I don't know when she is gonna come back.  And if she is
in An Morendor,
Sweet Andante:  (don't worry about me, darlin', I can wait)
InfiniteXChaos:  she cannot get here either.  She didn't say where she was
going.   We may be on our own here."  Massie's cheeks clenched and he walked
several paces away, his head bowed, hands planted on his hips.  "You gonna be
aiight?" Massie
InfiniteXChaos:  speared him with his eyes.  "Fuck no," his voice cracking
slightly.  Rob smirked and shook his head.  "Just be cool, aiight?"  "Yeah
right," Massie's sarcasm thick.  The vampire then shot Rob the bird and stole
off down the hall and
InfiniteXChaos:  back to Kat's room.  He put on his best 'cool' face and
smiled to her as he walked back over to the bed and snatched that whiskey
bottle from her.  He guzzled more than he had a habit of quenching himself
with at one time, then
InfiniteXChaos:  handed the bottle back to her, half empty.  "Now where were
we?  Your story...That was great.  I used to make guitars too with rubber
bands and sticks and wood boxes.  I played one a kid made and mailed to me at
a concert once...
InfiniteXChaos:  Recorded live," he chuckled.  He seemed almost tired.  "I am
glad you left LA and came here, Kat.  Like Rob, I have a really good feeling
about you."  He ****ing wanted to cry, and his face had that drawn look
people got when
InfiniteXChaos:  holding back something when they were upset.  He was not the
rock Rob could be when he needed to be.  "What it's like..."  His eyes
drifted up mid-way between the floor and the ceiling.  "It's like breathing
in a breath of another
InfiniteXChaos:  world...like taking a step in the ocean.  You can feel the
tide, feel a sense of the power which commands an ocean, but not quite grasp
it...Only the edge of it.  When you are sired...It's like becoming one with
that ocean...being
InfiniteXChaos:  the tide, and the storms which blow over it.  The hunger is
hard...It is everpresent, but in time it gets easier...You gain more control.
Thralls are hungry too, but only for the blood of the ones who made them a
part of
InfiniteXChaos:  themselves.  Usually it's just one...one Regent.  A regent
is the one whose blood you take into yourself."  His gaze finally bent on
her.  "Rob found out that Thralls can have more than just one regent, and he
wants that for you,
InfiniteXChaos:  because it is safer for you.  If you go without your
regents' blood for too long, you can feel it...It feels the same as starving
from lack of food, and yet it isn't in your belly...The starvation is in your
veins, in your muscles,
InfiniteXChaos:  it's all over.  One month without blood, and you die.  With
us?  If we go without for too long, we fall into what's called torpor, like
vampire bats, the cold sleep of hibernation.  And we don't wake up until
someone gives us
InfiniteXChaos:  blood."  He was gazing at her in a peculiar way as he spoke.
The temptation to grab her and force her to become his own progeny was very
strong, but he had the control for common sense to command his senses.  It
was a thin line of
InfiniteXChaos:  control though.  The thought of her being a thrall when the
**** hit the fan tore him up inside.  She needed to be full fledged.  He
realized that his breath had quickened and he steadied it and looked away
from her.  "Wanna go for
InfiniteXChaos:  a walk?"  If she asked what about the quarentine he would
say, "Fuck the quarentine.  I won't let anybody touch you."  #

Sweet Andante:  Kat smiled at Rob when he appeared in the doorway and would
have watched with more curiosity if she hadn't had so much to think about
already.  She'd made up her mind to forget about wondering what went down in
the hall (halls do
OnlineHost:  Sweet Andante has left the room.
OnlineHost:  Sweet Andante has entered the room.
Sweet Andante:  carry sound nicely) but changed her mind when Massie walked
purposefully back into the room with an uncharacteristically serious aire.
It was the 'everything we're talking about is insigificant but I can't tell
you why so I'm going
Sweet Andante:  to try to look cool' face.  Yeah, she did body language,
doesn't everyone in the music business?  That would exclude the lead singer
many times, lovable ego maniacs that they were. The more he spoke to her--and
he wasn't looking at
Sweet Andante:  her--the worse his face got and it worried her.  Kat was
maybe the least enlightened person in the building just then, and she was
certainly prone to fear of the unknown.  She watched him until he suddenly
looked up at her again.
Sweet Andante:  The intensity was rolling off of him like a hot coal dropped
in water.  It made her nervous and she licked her lips in habit.  The
explanation of the difference between a thrall and a full vampire made
perfect sense to her.  Poetic
Sweet Andante:  explanations always touched her more than scientific
formulas, though she was aware that she'd not ever fully understand until
she'd been there.  When he asked if she wanted to get out of there, she
really was going to ask about the
OnlineHost:  Sweet Andante has left the room.
OnlineHost:  Sweet Andante has entered the room.
Sweet Andante:  current restrictions on their, or anybody's, movements around
town, but the look on Massie's face related a need that she wasn't going to
question.  She trusted him already, and though she wasn't particularly
worried about herself,
Sweet Andante:  she knew she'd be taken care of.  She followed him out of the
room, stopping at the threshold to hit the lights and admire the room once
more.  A four poster bed!  She had to smile despite the sudden grim feeling,
and turned to walk
Sweet Andante:  silently for a good while beside Massie.  She didn't know
where they were going but it didn't matter, she had a lot to think about.
Kat knew empathy, she'd dealt with it all her life, and right now, the
feeling she was getting off
Sweet Andante:  Massie was increasingly uncomfortable.  She had to build
confidence for a minute or two, but she decided to ask at the next
opportunity she had (in a relatively private surrounding) what, exactly, was
going on.
InfiniteXChaos:  Massie was not exactly well practiced at pretense and
deception.  He was used to being blatently honest and hiding what he felt was
foreign to him.   He was young as vampires went and did not have the
self-possessed poise of an
InfiniteXChaos:  Elder, or more refined vampire.  Hell, he was still a kid at
heart in many ways, still human in his nature.   Some vampires never lost
that.  Massie ducked down as they got up and scooped Kat up in his arms to
cradle her in those
InfiniteXChaos:  strong cords of muscle, laughing as he took off running down
the hallway with her in his arms.  When they reached the steps, he set her
down on the top landing gingerly then swatted her ass and took a flying leap
down the
InfiniteXChaos:  stairs all the way to the next landing.  He was showing off
some of his vampiric prowess to her, giving her a small taste of what
vampires had up their sleeves.  Thralls could learn some of that too.  He
waited for her there,
InfiniteXChaos:  and not to **** with her head, but to let her have a bigger
bite, he blurred out of sight to reemerge at the bottom of the stairs,
leaning against the steel banister cool as you please.  He smiled to her when
she met him there
InfiniteXChaos:  and then walked side by side with her.  "You will be able to
move like that too, Kat.  Well, almost as quick.  I would love to teach you.
It'll be fun."  When they entered the club, he bypassed the door to the
parking garage, he
InfiniteXChaos:  grabbed two bottles from the bar-shelf, and a pack of clove
twisted smokes, and caught back up to her.  Yosef was at a table near the
door talking to his brother, and he got up to unlock the door for them.
"Goin' for a walk," he
InfiniteXChaos:  reported to Yosef, and when the demon parted his lips to
give him a hard time, Massie cut his eyes on him.  "Don't bother, man.  By
shadows or door, I am leaving this joint."  Yosef smirked faintly and let
them go on their way.  He
InfiniteXChaos:  headed away from the yellow tape at the corner down the
street to the right.  The cops there never saw them leaving the club as
Massie cloaked he and Kat in shadows.  She might notice it, and she might
not.  It was like a thin veil
InfiniteXChaos:  of black silk had pulled around them that they could see
through.  It did not take away from details, simply cast them in a darker
shade.  Massie's eyes could cut through the dark like a knife anyway.  He
drew in a deep breath of
InfiniteXChaos:  air.  "We should go down by the river.  Damn I kinda like
this...Not a soul on the street.  We own New Orleans!!" he cried out, his
voice echoing along the quiet streets.   The cops peirced the darkness with
their eyes and shone a
InfiniteXChaos:  flashlight their way, but saw nothing.  Massie snickered and
took a long draw off that bottle of tequilla he had swiped from the bar.
"Don't worry, Kat, the fuzz can't see us, unless one of them is a vampire and
cares to try and
InfiniteXChaos:  look," he laughed.#
Sweet Andante:  Kat was definitely taken off guard as she suddenly lost her
footing, and then her escort.  She laughed as he disappeared down the
stairwell, leaving her to run behind him.  If he meant to impress her, he was
doing an excellent job.
Sweet Andante:  She watched after him for a moment to ponder how, exactly, he
did what he did, before catching up at the very bottom.  Apparently she could
learn to do that too, though "You know I won't ever catch up to you, if I
want to be as
Sweet Andante:  impressive as the great Massie, I'm going to have to show off
to small children and pets."  She grinned.  "But I would love for you to show
me."  They parted ways just briefly as he made a detour, and when he caught
up again, she
Sweet Andante:  automatically reached for one of the two bottles he held,
more to help with the 'burden' than to claim a whole bottle as her own.  She
knew she couldn't take that much.  In fact, after the whiskey they'd been
drinking, she was
Sweet Andante:  already feeling pretty good.  They passed Yosef side by side,
barely stopping for comment, though she could tell that the two got along
well.  She'd have to ask about Yosef later, there must be a story there.  Kat
thought she may
Sweet Andante:  have noticed a slight change in her perception, but shrugged
it off as being night.  Everything changes in the dark.  She laughed again as
Massie claimed New Orleans with a shout to the deserted streets, and chimed
in "Long live the
Sweet Andante:  king and queen of New Orleans,
Sweet Andante:   " and gave a flowery curtsy before they made the turn that
would take them to the river.  She took a drink of whatever was in her hand
and felt immediately light headed.  A few more of those and she'd be gone.
The thought made her
Sweet Andante:  laugh under her breath.  After a moment, she spoke, casually,
still looking at the street ahead, "is something wrong?"
InfiniteXChaos:  Massie had just chortled gigglishly when she called him the
great Massie.  He was a fly on the wall compared to Tiber, that ASSHOLE,
Byron, Valis and hell, even Rob.  Rob had killer prowess for his age, had
studied his ass off and
InfiniteXChaos:  been instructed by the best of the best, that, and well he
had been a slayer before he had become a vampire, so was an ass kicker as a
human.  HE was impressive.  The things he could tell Kat, but err...wouldn't.
Rob's
InfiniteXChaos:  shiz was for Rob to tell.  "Hey, Kat?  You believe in
demons?  Angels?" he asked her, his eyes training on her as they walked.  He
drank as they strode along the middle of the street.  Massie had guided their
path there,
InfiniteXChaos:  figured why not?  Seemed people in New Orleans were a little
more than paranoid.  They did pass a couple of homeless guys, and one
homeless chick.  They had no place else to go but the streets.  They hated
the ****ing
InfiniteXChaos:  shelters, and so had Rob when he had been living on the
streets of the Cresent City.  Abandoned buildings were their main shelter,
but even those were scarce sometimes, already spoken for by someone tougher.
There
InfiniteXChaos:  were more homeless these days than at any other time in
history.  The vampires helped to 'cull' the surplus.  Might sound inhuman to
some, but it actually was for the best.  It cut down on the spread of
disease, starvation,
InfiniteXChaos:  and violence.  That is how vampires saw it, humans saw it
differently.  He had laughed at her King and Queen crack and bowed to her
curtsy flamboyantly.  They had just turned the corner onto Julia street when
Kat asked him if
InfiniteXChaos:  something was wrong.  His tongue rolled against his inner
cheek a moment, and he took another hit off of that amber liquor before
answering.  He hated lying...It was not in his nature to do it.  "Some things
are better left alone,
InfiniteXChaos:  girl friend, and trust me when I say, this is one of those
things, aiight?"  Yeah right, like he was going to tell her casually, hey
sweet cheeks, the world may be coming to an end soon, what can you do?  Let's
PARTY!!!  Go out
InfiniteXChaos:  with a bang right?   It was too much for HIM to take.  #
Sweet Andante:  She looked at him, she'd paused there and stood facing him.
She watched him for a good minute (and a minute is a long time in silence)
before nodding and turning to walk again.  She would trust him.  She was sure
it was better left
Sweet Andante:  alone, but she still wanted to know.  Wasn't that her nature?
She took another drink, switched the bottle to her other hand and grabbed for
his.  At least they could take comfort in each other, right?  After another
block or so,
Sweet Andante:  she took a few mental steps back to answer his question, "I
didn't believe in demons or angels until recently, no.  I do now.  I find
myself wondering if they're of this earth, or of this universe, because of
they're not restricted
Sweet Andante:  to earth, don't you think that they must not be what we've
written them to be in our histories?"  She was almost going in circles now
with her philosophy, "because if they belong to the universe, they must be
smaller in scope, they
Sweet Andante:  must be more like us than we thought.  God, now that's a
loaded subject," she'd taken another drink and had to stop and blink to clear
her vision.  She decided then to stop, but she knew her judgement was already
gone, "God can't be
Sweet Andante:  all knowing.  I've tried to figure ways, but there are none.
What if angels and demons are just two different sects of the same species at
war?  What if they aren't holy, maybe they just have a more enlightened,
longer term
Sweet Andante:  perspective?"  She had to breathe, then and blushed, though
her cheeks were already pink, "I'm sorry.  Sometimes I talk too much."  Yeah,
sometimes I drink too much too, she kicked herself inwardly.
InfiniteXChaos:  Mark jerked his bottle of tequilla above his head as Kat
grabbed for it.  "Hey!" he barked at her playfully.  "My booze, you have your
own, wench."  He was teasing about the wench thing naturally.
InfiniteXChaos:  He listened to her tell him what she thought about the
existance of demons and angels, and when she said God was a loaded subject he
chuckled.  "Yeah, people should always BE loaded before they try to decide
what God
InfiniteXChaos:  is or isn't," he snickered, then sobered to let her talk
without him joking about it.  Massie licked the liquor residue off his lips
as she spoke.  Damn, she had a pretty close handle on the way
things...um..sort of were.  It was
InfiniteXChaos:  complicated.  "Gods are simply higher life forms.  They are
not what people on this world imagine them to be, and yet there is some truth
mixed into the fiction.  They are kinda like us...Possessive, jealous,
envious, and they do
InfiniteXChaos:  what they think is best, see?"  He talked about it like he
knew instead of theorizing.  "The maker, creator, what made the universe made
the gods too, and some of them made us.  They fight over us...Over what they
made, just like we
InfiniteXChaos:  fight over land and property.  It's insane, but makes sense.
The nature of the beast cannot be avoided.  Demons do exist, and they are
even more careful not to expose themselves than vampires are..and so are
angels.  But they are
InfiniteXChaos:  like us...They feel, they have their own beliefs, are
mislead and enlighttened at the same time.  Angels are holy...because they
see things differently.  They know what love really is...They KNOW they kill
a part of themselves
InfiniteXChaos:  everytime they have to take a life, and they don't kill
because they are greedy, or out of vengeance.  They used to kill because they
were told to, and now?  They kill to protect themselves or others.  Imagine
seeing things exactly
InfiniteXChaos:  like they are?  That is what makes angels holy."  He laughed
when she said she talked too much and regarded her intently.  "I am so glad
you do.  I like to talk too if you cannot tell," he chuckled and raised his
bottle to make a
InfiniteXChaos:  toast.  "To the verbose!!"  and he chugged a rather phat
amount of his liquor.  "Chaos...It's everywhere, in everything.  It
creates...It changes, it destroys.  There is your God," he grinned and winked
at her.  #
Sweet Andante:  Just like her rambling philosophy, his explanation had
several layers.  After each one, she opened her mouth to ask 'and how do you
know?' but decided each time to keep quiet, as she wanted to hear more.  He
sounded so very
Sweet Andante:  confident of himself that she wondered what else he knew, or
at least sounded like he knew.  Had she been completely sober, she'd have
questioned everything he said.  As it was, though, she drank it up like,
well... she thought it
Sweet Andante:  was rum, but who knew now?  She still wondered, though, "then
the concept of holy must be different than.. " she didn't finish.  She felt
the rest of the sentence, but couldn't think of how to express it.  At the
end of it all, she
Sweet Andante:  sighed and shrugged.  "I guess the ancient Greeks were right,
then.  I guess someone had to be."  She smiled at him as he raised his
bottle, and raised hers, but didn't drink as he did.  She wanted to be able
to walk home.  When he
Sweet Andante:  finished, though, she regarded him closely, studying him from
head to toe.  She put her bottle down, took a step toward him and asked,
finally, as her head tilted just a little to one side as if this was the
question of the century,
Sweet Andante:  ... "You talk as if you know.  You don't sound at all unsure,
how can you know?"  It wasn't even, 'is that true?' or ' do you really know'?
It was how?  She was beyond blind acceptance now.
InfiniteXChaos:  Massie's eyes lit on her when her voice trailed off as she
tried define the meaning of holy.  "Angels ARE holy, trust me.  Except those
unholy Alamascan phucks."  Did that just slip out?  Woops.  Massie cocked a

brow and turned to her when she paused, put her bottle down, and questioned how he could be so sure.  "Well I...I guess I do know...I just don't know everything...I know that angels exist, and I know what some of them are like, enough to acknowledge that some of them are divine...while others are wicked...and all of them are scary.  Scarier than us anyway.  I mean...how can they not be scary, when they used to be part of God's army, before God went and kicked them all to the curb," he smirked.  "Demons and angels share a lot in common.  Many demons used to be angels as a matter of fact.  And yeah...God exists...but...he is not what humans made of him.  The truth is cut with so much fiction that the facts are lost...and that is no accident. See...it's no accident that you don't know about them, the demons and angels either...or didn't.  They do not reveal themselves to humans unless they have little choice for some unusual reason.  Shiit happens, you know?  I am telling you to prepare you for when you do meet these sorts, cuzz around us, you will sweetheart.  I will tell you what Rob told me...Always assume that anyone you see could be an immortal, and then make damn sure they aren't before you decide to try and bum a snack off of them," he laughed.  "That way, you won't accidentally piss off some elder vampire, a fallen angel, mean ass demon, or something else.  Even demons need a reason to hurt people.  Immortals, even demons, are like everything else...Some are good, some are bad.  Ever met an as*hole bee or animal?  I have.  Some bees are cool...won't bother you.  Others will sting you for no damn good reason.  They are just phucking as*holes.  I have met as*hole dogs and cats too.  I am not saying walk around scared all the time...Just keep in mind that anyone who looks human could be something else.  A vampire, angel, demon, werewolf, werelion, what have you.  They want the same things we do...To be treated decently, with respect, and be allowed to live their damn lives in relative peace.  Just like anyone else...It's the lunatics and as*holes you have to worry about."  He slung his arm around her shoulders and jostled her lightly.  "Take me for instance...Know what I want?  Love...Someone to love and hold me.  Someone to phuck until they are screaming with an overabundance of pleasure.  You know what I get?  Girls who want to be able to say they are Riff Massie's girlfriend."  He shook his head.  "Girls who want to share my lime light.  How the Hell am I supposed to be able to sort the wanna bes out from the real deals?  It phucking drives me nuts. So I wind up being this slut boy player when that is not who I am at all.   I wanna girl who will chill with me...Be content to just BE at home with me, drink beer and watch movies on the TV with me until we fall asleep in each others arms, a girl I can wake in the morning with raw sex.  The chillin' part...The watching TV part kills their pretense of love everytime.  They expect life with me to be exciting all the time, when our work means long hard hours and coming home tired."  He scoffed and hugged her then withdrew his embrace to pick up the bottle she had laid down and continue walking.  "So what do you want, cherry pie?" he smiled at her then caught her hand in his as they walked.

Angels are holy, he said.  Kat couldn't help but smile at him, though she managed to hide the full out grin it could have been.  She supposed that it wasn't necessarily blind faith in this particular instance, but Massie related this fact with so much confidence that he looked like a boy of nine or ten telling his mother that there IS a monster in the closet... 'trust me!'  But angels were a bigger matter than the monsters she faced as a child.  Her monsters back then never had wings.  "You know," she answered his comment about how scary holy creatures of God were, "I always felt that.. " and she promptly forgot.  A side effect of drinking.  It really stopped her abruptly.  She hated losing her train of thought (it's why she didn't drink as much as she could).  She looked at the bottle on the ground, ironically, to try to refocus, and muttered under her breath, "always felt that... that.."  Sigh.  And then suddenly someone switched the light on and she perked up again, "I always felt that some angels and demons were actually meant to disarm us, specifically employed to.  I would think that those most often having contact with us lowly earthlings would do their best to not look scary, so as we don't run away on first sight, no?"  She gave him a split second of silence, "And everyone knows that God is not what we've made of him, they're just scared to change... er... unchange.  You know what I mean, go back in their own history."  She scratched the little patch of skin on her neck that her pony tail was brushing and decided to just pull the hair tie out and let it all fall free, problem solved.  "But look, I'm not afraid of these angels and demons, I'm not afraid of God.  Know why?  They're more powerful than me by billions... if any one of them thinks that I need to be taken care of, for better or worse, I don't stand a chance."  Yep, only something one confesses to the open sky when one is intoxicated, but honestly, she did subscribe to a very similar philosophy when sober.  She listened, then, and inserted another remark on the topic of social deviants, "I agree, really gotta watch for those crazies," and gave him a look that clearly said, ' uh huh, I mean you, ' though it was obvious that she was just kidding.  The passion with which he made his next speech, about wanting real love and what he had to face as a public personality was striking enough to make her look from the scenery ahead, where her eyes stopped originally after being jostled and half embraced, and up at him as he spoke.  Kat wasn't used to people opening up so quickly for her.  She'd known this man for what, a night?  She loved it.  Open people were exactly what she wanted, she wished there were more of them, but was happy with this one and glad that she'd get to keep him around.  She smiled as he hugged her and regarded him again when they continued their hand in hand walk, "What, you mean your life is exciting even half the time?"  She laughed.  "What do I want... "  Her voice trailed off, pondering... it almost hurt to think so hard... what do I want? Her walking had slowed without her realizing it.  A strong breeze was starting and her hair was lifted off of her shoulders nicely, so the cool wind hit the skin on the back of her neck.  "I don't know, "  she shivered internally, unnoticeable except that her fingers dug into his the tiniest bit.

How could Massie not adore Kate?  Just like that he decided she was a Kate.  It was her spirit, her punk-doll-tough-but-sugar-and-spice attitude.  The smile which plastered his face when she spoke of not being afraid of big bad monsters, and her reasons for not being scared, mirrored the fact that he was simply tickled him all over.  "You are a phucking goddess, soon to be rock goddess...I think I am in love," he teased her and with a cackle he hugged her tight and nibbled on her throat with incorrigible spunk.  It was clear he was being intentionally naughty in his play, and after nipping her just hard enough to leave a faint welt on her skin, his tongue flickered her skin lightly and his breath fell cool across the moisture he left on her throat.  "You taste good. Gonna have to get me some of that blood sooner or later you know?" A threat or a request?  Massie never forced nothing on nobody unless they were an enemy.  The vampire then came away as he saw someone in the shadows over her shoulder.  He was just standing there, staring at them.  He didn't say anything about it just yet, just listened to her as she gathered her wits enough to answer his prior question, with an I don't know.  His gaze left the man in the shadows of the alley and trained on her as a smile curled his lips to warm his face and eyes.  "Leaving your options open until you are certain of what you want, is a sign of youth as well as callow wisdom.  No need to feel embarrassed," he promised her.  His eyes then darted on the man as he saw him shift out of the corner of his eyes.  He did not look right.  He reminded him of some rabid dog you saw in the darkness.  You could not quite the animal out, but you knew it wasn't right.  The moment the man bolted and charged at them, Massie grabbed Katalina and lunged with her into the shadows.  They poofed out of the man's sight to leave him standing confused and wary.  When they stepped out of the shadows again, they were just inside the parking garage at the club.  "Come on..." he urged her, both with his voice and that hand which laced with her's once again to pull her along down the street towards those cops.  "Hey officers!" he called to them as they closed on the fuzz.  "There is a guy, mid-fourties maybe, white, with a blue blazer on, at the corner of Julia, near the museum alleyway.  He did not look right...he looked really sick and like came after us," he reported.  Three of the seven cops took off immediately, while the officer in charge asked what they doing wandering around the streets after kerfew.  "Neighborhood watch you know?" Massie said.  The cop frowned.  "Look man...Hard staying pent up all the time.  I am paranoid enough to be careful, and trust me, if I came down with some plague, I would be the first to lock myself in a closet with a cell phone and call the authorities to beg to be put down.  I love New Orleans too much to be spreading deadly contagions around," he told the officer.  The cop smiled faintly but nodded towards the club.  "You all..." Gunshots reported to echo in the otherwise quiet streets, making him pause until the shots stopped, five altogether.  The officer sighed.  "Go back inside now," he stated, his undertones dispirited.  His radio crackled to life then and he answered it.  Massie nodded to the guy and led Kate back to the Club, and in through the front door, which Jarvis opened for the them.  He, and no doubt Kat, heard the cop talking as they walked away from them.  "Wildcat victim down.  We need a control team down here right away, corner of Julia and Fulton."  Wildcat victim, Massie's mind echoed as they walked into the club.  Code for plague victim gone nuts and taking others down with them? he asked himself.  If they had a word for it, that was bad phucking news.  It made everything Rob had told him flood back into his mind.  The end of days..."Hey...let's get phucking wasted at the bar, and see who passes out first," he suggested to Kat.  He hated drinking alone.

The weeks passed by like a storm over a lighthouse.  The chaos outside of the club grew, and noone with any sense went outside anymore.  Crews had been set up to deliver as much food as possible to people.  Lady Rhiannon Decasey, club owner and sire of Robert Lyons, had already stocked up on supplies at the club...Enough to last those residing there a good ten years.  She was hopeful that this was another travesty that would come and go, like the last disaster, but deep down, just like Rob, she knew she had wasted a lot of money...and that even that did not matter.  There was no escaping what was coming, and yet something could happen to pull them all from the mouth of the abyss.  Tiber had gotten off the planet before the doorways off the planet had closed, and Byron and Lena were out there...So was Maelmorda.  Surely they would do something, could do something, and they would not all die by whatever end was coming...By whatever swan song the four horsemen would carry the world away on.  Regardless, there was no sense in dying with your heart in your throat.  They celebrated.  Everyday was a celebration.  The band played their hearts out on stage for their small audience of whoever lived at the club now.  All the employees were living there now.  Mark was allowed whatever indulgences he wished, to a point.  They did not allow him to abuse himself but so much.

Rob still suffered the agonizing deprivation of being unable to perform with his sire, which anguished him even more than the unthinkable tribulations they were about to face.  The thought of going out without loving Rhia with every passion, persuasion of pleasure, and obsessive desire he had, was too much for him to take.  She could see him crumbling.  Rhia was clever though, and finally discovered what afflicted her progeny.  After ten failed attempts at trying to destroy Tiber's wicked curse on Rob, she finally succeeded and broke the potent strands of power inside of her progeny, and repelled the curse from him.  Tiber's power was always difficult to contend with.  It infuriated her that her twin brother was not there, or even reachable to chastise for his jealous cruelty to Rob.  Instead, she had Rob to vent on, as he claimed her with his undying love and the provocative ardence of his lusty desires.  Those two were either partying with the others, or tangled up together some where.  They never ceased to turn each other on to extremes, and Rob had a way of pleasuring her that was almost ruthless for the degrees of bliss he invoked from her flawlessly beautiful body and bewitchingly seductive sexuality.

Seeing them made Massie very sexually tense, and it showed in the ways he flirted with Katalina.  He had never flirted with Kat-1.  At first his affections towards her simply grew.  He was more touchy feely, his embraces lasted longer and became more intimate.  Once innocent and playful flirtations became more and more heated and urgent.  He would sometimes approach her at the bar, and press against her in swaying grinds that were as lustfully appealing as the kisses he stole from her throat.  If she rejected his advances he would look rather hurt and withdraw from her, but not far, to drink with renewed anxt, making himself almost aloof.  He was a very carnal guy, and was not used to going without sex when he really needed it, and he really, really liked Katalina.  He would not say he was in love with her, because he was too afraid of having his heart broken if he ever crossed that line.  He would say, he liked her immensely.  A night came when he finally spoke to her about everything his body had been trying to tell her.  It was really late, and she was at the bar.  Rob and Rhia had gone to bed.  Mark was passed out comfortably on the stage, his favorite old ass maple drumsticks in hand.  Kat and Cole were backstage practicing a new song they had written together that night quietly...Their first song.  Massie reached around Kate to put out the cigarette he smoking in the ashtray beside her.  Chloe made herself scarce the minute he shook his head when she asked him if he wanted another drink.  Massie pressed up against her back, his arms coiling her, and pressed his cheek against her hair.  He just breathed in her scent for a moment and then began to speak.  "I know...a lot has happened, that you have a lot on your plate.  All these changes...and us bringing you in with blood tomarrow...I don't want to pressure you.  I know I have been doing just that.  But can't you tell when a guy is smitten?  I am in agony with want of you.  I want to fill your body with my love.  Make you forget there is a world in chaos outside of these walls.  I want to carry you into the elysium of my soul.  I want to be the first to embrace you with my blood, and to taste your pulse.  I will be all yours if you want me.  Will you let me love you?"  If she rejected his passionate invitation, he would shudder against her with a kiss to her throat, and then walk away, lock himself in his room and deal with the rejection he felt in his own way.

Kat, now dubbed Kate, watched Massie curiously as a big smile crept across his features while she explained, rather rambled, about angels and demons and why there just wasn't room for fear.  She laughed  and let his hand go when he called her a goddess, the kind of laugh that peasant children would give as they pretended they were kings and queens.  She was pulled right back into him with a hug, though, and he would have felt a sharp intake of breath against him when his mouth touched the sensitive skin on her throat.  At that moment, her nerves all tingled, her senses heightened and she swore she could have felt even a hair move on her arm as if someone had touched her.  Oh, yeah, she was clear, and she wanted his advances, but she was speechless.  What was she supposed to say to him?  Take my blood, take my body?  Kate was no Jesus.  But she was saved from having to say anything, save to answer what she wanted.  She didn't know?  Just then, she'd lied.  Of course she knew what she wanted.  Massie moved away from her, and she was grateful that he couldn't see the colour of her cheeks... could he?  It was dark, but with his eyes... she watched them trail off slightly above her shoulder.  "What? Is something.." she trailed off in a quiet voice as he commented on her wisdom.  Had they been in a less intense moment, she would have laughed at him.  His eyes darted away again, "What?" she said, louder this time, "What're you so..."  she'd turned around and smiled, sure it was something amusing, but quickly revised her features to reflect her apprehension as the man came at them and in the next moment, she and Massie stood in the parking garage at the club.  Kate was ushered from the garage, letting her escort relate all the details the police needed.  She hardly heard them talk.  She'd seen the man's face for just an instant, but she remembered everything about it.  Misery, depression, desperation... hopelessness.  That scared her.  Gunshots in the distance shook her from her daze and Massie had to pull on her to get her to move, and then keep urging her on as she stared back over her shoulder the entire way, toward where the weapons had been fired.  Wildcat victim?  She slowed and Massie pulled on her again. She turned around just as they got to the door and as they stepped back into the relative safety of the club, she looked up at him and they seemed to share a moment of mutual uneasiness about what had just gone down.  He'd spoken first.  "Yeah," she agreed right away, "wasted."  She didn't want to let his hand go, it felt safe, but three or four drinks later she'd been lulled into a warm, hazy bubble of comfort.  Needless to say, Kate passed out first, after a foolish challenge to the vampire to keep up.  She'd swayed and collapsed right into him, only aware that she hadn't felt the floor meet her face.

Most windows within reach had been boarded up in the last few weeks, but Kate had taken to finding little hidden places to watch the streets from.  They were empty streets, void of any sign of even animal life, but she liked watching the rain hit the pavement and listening to it make little rhythmic noises on the gutters.  She emulated these things in her music as she took to her hiding places more and more.  She also took great solace in her drums.  She'd applied herself like never before and was improving with incredible speed, even pulling a few compliments from Mark here and there, who was less and less coherent with each passing week.  Sometimes she'd shut herself away in the practice room for hours and not stop until someone dropped in to make sure that everything was okay and she realized that she was exhausted.  This was how she coped with being caged, though she wouldn't be able to use her drums much longer without possibly destroying them in a rage when she couldn't lay down the right groove or when she made too many stupid mistakes.

She'd noticed that Massie's attention toward her got more intense after Rob and Rhia started spending what seemed like every waking moment together.  She supposed too, with an internal smile, that most moments they spent together involved being quite awake.  At first, she'd not even noticed Massie's flirting.  Kate was oblivious to these things and always had been.  She didn't mean to hurt him or turn him off when she seemingly brushed him away, she simply mistook it for being very friendly.  Quite honestly, she found it hard to believe that he'd be interested in her at all and she didn't want to be used and thrown aside, a rock star's distraction.  Little her, a country girl from nowhere who liked banging on pots and pans.  But, as it happened, she wasn't always blind, especially when it came to her own sexual desire.  A few times, as he came up behind her in an embrace, she swayed back with him, reaching back with one arm to rest a hand on his neck as he bent toward her.

On a particularly stormy night, the night before she'd "take the big plunge" with band and blood, she sat alone at the bar, staring at the amber liquid in a shot glass in front of her, pondering what it would be like.  She couldn't lie, she was nervous as hell.  She brushed her hair from her eyes and noticed her back getting hot just before Massie put his cigarette out from behind her.  Kate could feel her muscles tense and she sat up and watched Chloe disappear. She didn't dare move as his arms pressed against the fabric at her stomach and chest, but he could feel her breathing deepen when her shoulders moved against his chest.  She swore that she'd stopped breathing when he finally said what she'd been waiting for, a solid proposition.  No guessing, no teasing, just truth.  She licked her dry lips and took another breath before wiggling just a little to loosen his grip on her and turning around on her stool in his embrace to face him.  She put both of her hands on his chest and pushed him back gently so she could stand up in front of him.  Having had more than one drink, she was brave enough to reach up and, with her fingers on each side of his neck, pull him down to meet her own lips.  She could feel the heat of his breath on her, and after she'd kissed him intensely, but far from satisfactorily (that would take more time), she moved her cheek over his so that her lips rested just next to his ear, and she whispered to him "Yes, I want you, and I want you to have every part of me."

Her answer breathed life into the creature who looked like a man, but who was dead, and not dead.  As far as Massie was concerned...Vampires were not the walking dead, but more alive than they had been as humans.  They were reborn, able to live long enough to become truly enlightened.  Their passions were intense...How could anyone say they lacked life?  Rob had convinced him of this long before he was raised from the dead and sired by Tiber.  It was strange...He half expected her to tell him to go to Hell, even as his arms wrapped her tighter to pull her against himself.  Massie did not think highly of himself, so never expected anyone else to, although most thought very highly of him.  He ignored that.  He was flawed, and he knew it, and always anticipated others seeing right through him, to recognize his faults.  Few did until they got to know him.  He relished her heart-beat and warmth.  He was cold, like the dead in that respect, but his body functioned nevertheless.  His heart did beat in his chest, but his blood was not warm, not unless he fed and only for a short duration, until the human blood cooled in his viens. Was it love he felt for her, or a possessive lust? He could not say just yet.  It was too soon...But whatever it was he did feel, was intense...fierce.  His lips captured her's as he embraced her, that possessive desire felt in the strength of his hold and the urgent press of his muscular figure against her own.  The seductive facet of his nature radiated from him as his tongue explored her mouth with sensually heated strokes, coils and hungry nursings of her soft muscle.  He lifted her off her feet as though she were nothing more than thistledown in his arms, his strength apparent.  His strides were smooth, like a panther's as he carried her out of the club to merge with the shadows as they passed through the doorway, the proceeding strides delivering them to his bedroom.  It was wall papered with posters of their tours and of other bands he favored.  Jimmy Page of Led Zepplin, The Edge of U2, Bob Marley, Tool, Nick Cave, and many others.  His kiss deepened all the while he carried her, and as he laid her down on the bed.  The sexual tension could be felt building in his muscles, the tautness of his abdomen as his hips and the flat plane of his stomach dominated her lower body in a pressing grind as he positioned her on the bed, with himself over her.  His hands began carressing her feminine physique to knead and rub into her muscles to hike her shirt up and unsnap and unzip her jeans as he did so.  There was a slickness, an adeptness to his fingers and the motions he went through which made it rather obvious he had seduced and been with a lot of women.  Yes, he had been with many women, but they had either hurt him, or been unable to capture his heart.  He gasped softly as her bare skin was exposed, and as his lips and tongue traveled to her throat and lower, he shed himself of his own clothes...The wife beater, the leather pants which hugged him like a second skin, the indigo, silk boxers. He had been barefoot, liked being barefoot when at home.  The elation she aroused in him was painted on his handsome features, softening the masculine contours of his face.  Every kiss of her flesh grew more heated, and as his rather impressive erection met the warmth between her legs to rock and rub against her, his mouth found her's again to seal her lips in a kiss which stunned his senses as much as her's.  He was already high on her and they had not even begun.  He wanted to tell her that he loved her...But he would not.  Not her...He would not tell her things until he was sure.  He would not tell her what he thought she wanted to hear, but what he was sure of.  "You are beautiful, Kitt...So sexy...So phucking hot," he breathed the words lustily on her lips and kissed her deeply.  His fingers trailed across her flesh and abdomin, to grip into naval, sending rushes of sexual energy through her, and afterwards they drug downward between her thighs as he spread her legs to his lusts with his own thighs.  He was forceful and he was gentle.  A pair of fingers pinpointed her bundle and thrashed her with very accurate skill as he teased her slit with the silky crown of his head.  He was large so when he finally took the initiative to spread her with his member, he took his time, sliding gradually inside of her.  He groaned at the feeling of her...The warm moisture and snugness which gripped his throbbing phalus.  They fit each other beautifully.  His lips found their way to her throat and he necked her deeply.  The thoughts which ran rampant in his mind were wickedly subversive...How he wanted to tie her up...Dominate her with his lusts...Show her pleasures so intense they were almost cruel...no, that were cruel.  He had never had such thoughts about other women...Never wanted to share with them what Rhia and Rob had shared with him.  His cold heart pounded in his chest as he pumped himself deeper and deeper inside of her, while his fingers never relented in igniting a rage of bliss in her body.  The kiss to her throat numbed it, and when human canines elongated into long, slightly curving fangs to puncture her flesh and muscles, the pain was slight...Just enough to enhance the pleasures.  His breath could be felt heavy against her throat as he nursed from her crimson font, suckling on the pulse which released her blood to his thirst as he penetrated her deeper with each thrust.  He did not drink from her greedily...but with passive desire.  He had no intention of draining her too quickly, or of so much blood that he would unitentionally sire her.  Rhia and Tiber had taught him well.  He knew how to claim her as his thrall.  He was making one mistake...He could not thrall her now, without the others, and share her bond.  She had to drink all of their blood in sequence, one after the other for it to work.  Perhaps a part of him knew that...and he wanted her to himself, but he was not aware of it on any conscious level.  The mind could play tricks on itself, delude itself, and that was exactly what Massie's mind was doing now.  The vampire trembled against her when his hard member spread her pelvic bones to slide past her narrowest margins and into the deepest part of her.  He ground against her as he pressed against her cervix, his breath shivering as he filled her so completely.  His lips parted from her throat to speak to her as his eyes pierced her soul's mirrors.  "We fit each other so perfectly...You feel so good...so phucking good," he half growled his passions were so inspired.  His fingers abandoned petting her and his hands cupped her form to slide upward against her sides, beneath her arm pits, and then her arms, to her hands, which his own fingers laced.  His back arched as his pelvis slid against her to rub her clit with each stroke which buried him inside of her, and with each backstoke against her.  His body pet her now as his pinned her arms against the bed above her head.  He wanted to excite her...thrill her senses, and his own with her's.  His lips captured her taut nipple to suckle deeply, tugging in such a way as to send more jolts of pleasure sizzling through her body.  He phucked her hard enough to elate her, to release the beast in himself, to make her ache but not pain her, to heighten her sexually.  The words...I love you, kept forming in his mind, trying to possess his voice, but he fought it with each stroke.  He could not wait for her to cum...to sustain her orgasm until she could not take it any more, and then some.  His lips and tongue dominated her as much as his demonic sexual prowess did.  Diablos vampires were part demon. There was no denying it.  Many vampires were and just did not know it.  He made a sexual banquet of her flesh...her breasts, her throat, her mouth, and all the spaces in between.  He sliced his own throat with a single claw which protracted from his middle finger, and urged her to drink of his potent blood.  It was spicy, like nutmeg in flavor, an aspect of the demon in the vampire.  "Be my valentine," he joshed with her in invite, a boyish grin exposing his teeth and those fangs that had been imbedded in her throat.  The grin was swept away by an expression of bliss as he felt her throbbing against him.  She was so close...Oh to spill her over while she fed from him would be exquisite, he thought, or perhaps he spoke it aloud...He could not say.  Every thrust was compelled by sheer passion and emotion, and her body felt it as well as his did.  He was close himself, but held back...He would outlast her as long as he could, and then inspire her body with oral bliss afterwards...Love her in every way he could invent all night long, until she was spent...Exhausted by ecstacy.

The tension between them hadn't gone unnoticed, and she would be a liar if she insisted that she hadn't done her fair share of fantasizing alone.  She was unsure of herself, as well, and wouldn't have taken the initiative with Massie unless he'd done just as he did with her then, and made a concrete, definite offer of himself.  She could see, as she answered him, his muscles relax and then almost simultaneously tense again and she took his lead as he pulled her closer.  Kat hadn't seen the flaws that Massie was so afraid of, for the short, but intense, time that she'd been with the band, he'd seemed to grow more introspective and dark as the days crept by... it had only intrigued her more.  Kat herself still felt small, a new addition, a little decoration, a no-name with a nice beat to assist the rock stars.  The band, of course, had no part in her concerns, they had all been nothing but kind to her, it would take a while for her to get used to what she'd gotten herself into.  She saw something in his eyes just before their lips made contact, something basic and animalistic, like a hungry wildcat.  She had very little time to contemplate it, though.  He consumed her quickly, and she let him have her entirely, melting under his demands as easily as if she'd demanded them of him at the same time.  Kat barely felt her feet leave the ground, she was so focused on the feeling of the release of so much tension in her.  As they moved smoothly down the corridors, their lips only left each other long enough for Massie to find his way to his bedroom.  The soft bedding at her back as he lowered her onto the bed rubbed smoothly against her arms, and he pressed her down with his own body even as he deftly peeled her clothing off of her.  It happened so quickly and so expertly, and he kissed her even as he undressed himself, that she knew he'd been in this position many times before... how many others, she wondered, and would she just be another?  This must be so easy for him... but her logical mind was quite successfully repressed by a more basic need for intimacy and the deepest kind of animal connection.  She'd had her eyes closed for what felt like an eternity while his lips graced her skin, she could feel heat in every place that he kissed her and she imagined melting into him as those places overlapped, setting her on fire inside.  With so much time to contemplate exactly what would happen here, neither one of them stopped to play nice, she felt as urgent as he, and as he pushed against her, as his weight teased her, rubbing softly, intensely against her, he spoke, his voice low and breathy.  She hadn't time to answer before his lips devoured her again.  He knew exactly what he wanted, there was no work for her to do, and she had no choice but to give in to him fully... she was so lost in pleasure that there was nothing she'd rather have done.  She couldn't have waited longer for him to slide inside of her, it seemed to have come as an answer to her silent plea on his lips... no words formed, just a tremble, a broken sigh of the pain of anticipation.  She whimpered at the small pain on her neck, but couldn't conceive of what it must have been caused by.  She'd never experienced a lover so adept at pleasure as Massie was, and she'd probably never experience it again.  When his teeth punctured her skin, her back arched, pressing her body against him and she held it there for a moment, savouring the pleasure and the heat of their bodies together.  As his hands held hers above her head, she cried out loudly "God!"  more than once, she knew, but how many times exactly was unclear.  Her eyes closed again, being restrained in movement heightened her senses to a point that she wasn't sure she could return from.  She could distinctly feel every single point where their bodies touched, like tiny little excruciating points, beautiful, unholy pleasure.  She watched him as he moved away from her throat , her eyes fixing on his... she wondered how he could talk at all through this and was at once slightly unnerved and wholly seduced by his dark grin.  Being so, she did as she was bid and drank from him... she heard nothing then, only the beat of his heart (or was that just a feeling against her own chest?) and the spicy taste of him filled her.  She trembled now against him, overcome with wave after wave of an unbearable tension and anticipation and then.. finally.. everything exploded and she fell back against the bed, body almost numb from its exertion.  She opened her mouth to speak to him, but she couldn't.  Never, never before had she felt so vulnerable as just then, but she also felt understood completely, and safe.  He'd found every part of her, he'd tasted and touched every inch of her, inside and out and she almost felt like crying.  The tears that she wouldn't let fall made a glassy window over her eyes.  In the end, all the energy she had left was summoned just to say his name once, in awe, in thanks, in a deep caring and in an apology, apparent in her eyes, that she was not able to give back to him as he'd given to her that night.
