A Kitty in distress..

Irene, youthful, beautiful, excellent thief, was currently in distress. Earlier in the day, she had been frolicking in the snow and had gotten her foot stuck in a hole of some sort in the park. Embarrassed and too afraid of the questions that might be asked, she refrained from going to the hospital with her ankle paining her so. Instead, she had slunk off to her current tree and struggled up it to the hollow about midway up that hid many of her belongings very well. Shifting some things around, she had made herself a warm place to rest with a blanket from the homeless shelter keeping her warm. Now, hours later, she was in trouble.

Her ankle had swollen up to twice the size it should have been and for some reason she wasn't healing right. She feared she had managed to break something in her fall, and that the break was so intense that the bones would have to be set before the healing could take place. Fairly certain now that she ought to go to the hospital, she wiggled out from under her blanket and let herself hang from the branch she'd taken residence upon. When she hit the next branch, she collapsed, barely able to save herself from falling to the ground. With a small whimper, she struggled her way down to the snow covered ground and peered about, looking to see if someone might be about to help her along....Reaching into her back pocket, she pulled out a card and furrowed her brows. She had no phone, so she didn't know why she looked at the card she'd brought forth...What could this 'Sanguine' do for her anyway..?

(open for rp, 'cause no one seems willing to rp any more..)

Restlessness was a familiar companion to the blonde headed youth who had arrived in London from the states a week ago. Lines..over and over he ran through them, Jeremy was an aspiring actor who had lived in New York for the last year ..two. He had jumped on the opportunity to come to London in pursuit of a role in a vampire movie that was in the works. Acting was his first love, but it was by modeling for local ads and doing odd jobs and friends he'd made that helped him get by while he chased his dream. From the midwest..growing up on a farm, it hadn't been the life his parents had encouraged but..Jeremy was passionate about life and grabbing it by the horns. He'd rented a room some blocks away, though in a new country??? Jeremy was unable to stay cooped up unless he was forced to by sheer exhaustion alone..otherwise, like now..he was roaming the London streets..checking out the sights..rehearsing lines..and just blown away ....it was his first time ever..out of the states.

Jeremy was sometimes called a little ''too pretty'', his blonde hair was shoulder length and covered by the hat he'd pulled down around his ears. His eyes, an incredible sea blue-green. The youths' skin was unmarred, almost flawless. Shrugging deeper into his jacket, huddling against the cold..he had lifted the to-go cup of hot chocolate about to take a sip of it when his head jerked to the dull crashing sound in the trees ahead. "****.." okay, his friends had warned him that London could be worse than New York for getting mugged..his pretty ass raped..they'd teased....but damn if he didn't stop dead..thinning his eyes ahead with a crane of his neck..imagining Jack the ****ing Ripper cutting short his acting aspirations! "Hello?"  Jeremy ventured, his breath fogging the air in front of him while he stood still in the snow. When he realized that it wasn't Jack the Ripper..-normally Jeremy wasn't afraid of much of anything..but HEY..it was a whole new world here for a mid-western kid..despite his time in New York city. He'd lost someone he had cared deeply for on those streets.- ...instead it was a woman, his lips tugged faintly..muttering a curse at himself for being such a pansy ass! "Hey..you okay?" walking through the snow to close the distance with her.

The young woman stood awkwardly in the snow, favoring her right leg, her long, pin straight hair hanging past her rump. Her skin was smooth and quite fair. Jerking her eyes up, she peered at the male, rather than the card in her hand. Her sleek form hidden from view by a pair of blue jeans and what appeared to be the Micheline man gone purple and pink as her coat. The hood of her coat was not up, but was lined in faux fur as well as the bottom hem of it. For having nearly fallen out of a tree, and in a lot of pain, she was remarkably composed.

Eyes only slightly widened, she bit her lower, plush lip and spoke softly. "Not quite. I hurt myself earlier..I think I might have broken something in my ankle.." Her accent sounded somewhat strange. It was mainly the brittish sound one would find in a native, but had a hint of old world American charm to it. Wobbling a little, her arms went out to either side of herself and she took in a sharp gasp of air when forced to put weight on her pained ankle. Her large, blue-gray eyes widened and silvery sort of flecks appeared in them, showing how much pain she was really in, even though she didn't show it. She wanted to be lying down in the snow, not standing up...and it was taking all she had to not do just that. Tucking the card back in her pocket, she blushed prettily and smiled at this male before her. Her nostrils flared only slightly as she tried to take in his scent.

"I think I need to go to the hospital.." The felid hated to admit it. She'd never gone to one..ever. The huge automobiles that went into it wailing had terrified her from the first moment she'd ever seen/heard one. She was still getting used to cars as it was. They used to be such simple, slow things, but now they zoomed and swooped and blared and destroyed. No, she didn't like them at all. Her dainty feet had sunk into the snow and said snow had been dropping into the tops of her running shoes. It had given a little relief to her ankle, but she'd be surprised if she could get the shoe off her swollen appendage. "Could you help me?"

((Hey, no sweat. If you can work with my lame attempt at rp, I can work with you forgetting to log in! hehe))

His eyes thinned slightly when she said she had hurt herself earlier..Jeremy's hands swept out instinctively to steady the girl if need be when she wobbled. When she didn't topple over after all, the blonde youth crouched in the snow chewing his lip as he contemplated having a look at her ankle. "Probably a good idea.." glancing around, Jeremy rubbed his chin with a sheepish grin "though..I don't have a car..or know where the hospital is..guess we'll have to get a taxi.." brows furrowed slightly..was that what they called a cab here? "Give you a lift to the street?" he couldn't help but laugh at himself for offering to carry her piggy back. "I'm kidding..c'mon.."rising up, he would at least support her ..though he would have given the piggy back ride too. Some guys just never grew up did they? "My name's Jeremy by the way.." offering his name in hopes of getting hers..maybe they wouldn't have to wait long to get a taxi for her.

"I don't have the fare for a taxi..." She'd been around enough tourists and natives to understand the names people called things. "Come to think of it.....I don't have the money for the hospital either.." She was blushing furiously when she suddenly remembered that. Biting her lower lip faintly, she smiled at him. As she wobbled to take a step, she suddenly clutched at his arm to steady herself. Perhaps that piggy back ride wouldn't be a bad idea. A faint sweat broke out on her brow and she took a shaky breath.

"My name is Irene.." She pronounced her name with three syllables compared to the normal two someone would have with that name. When she faltered in her steps again, she frowned heavily and looked the snow covered distance to the road from where they were. "This is going to take a while...." She took another step and would have landed face first in the snow, had she not grabbed his arm again.

Jeremy's hand swept up to catch her arm when she wobbled and grabbed hold and from then on he held it rather than chance her falling and hurting herself further. She had no money for a taxi, none for a hospital..while it didn't surprise him to find out something like that..he HAD lived in NYC for a while now..it didn't keep that stab of sympathy from prickling his heart. The American youth did not have a lot of money himself..he was an aspiring actor and part time model..waiter..valet..dog walker..whatever kept food in his belly in the states. "I got the taxi...we'll figure out the rest later. Good?" Jeremy gave Irene a grin..."It is very good to meet you Irene..Put your arms around me.." Prounouncing her name as she had..though his had drawn out flirtatiously.. if she looked at him funny, he'd explain that he was going to carry her piggy back..and if she did..Jeremy would hoist her gingerly onto his back..mindful of her ankle. "Better this way than to carry you more flatteringly..and both of us end up falling on our faces yeah?" laughing as he pointed out the practicality of his weighing his two options of carrying her and why the less graceful one ..won out. "It isn't too far..do you have anyone you should call?" inquiring as to friends..family...that might wish to meet her at the hospital..though with the lady being out there alone..and saying she had no money for a cab much less the hospital..he had to wonder if she had anyone at all. Still, by asking..he'd establish that one way or another. "Look! hang on!" there was a taxi pulling to the curb at the road letting someone out..and for all his waving and yelling...the driver just drove off! And they said New Yorkers were bad!! Jeremy had trudged through the snow with Irene on his back..only to have the damn taxi driver already driving down the street. Glancing back over his shoulder at the lady on his back..his lips parted in a scented stream of warm air "So much for the taxi..it's too cold to wait out here.." nodding towards the end of the street, there was a place still open that they could go in  and warm themselves up with coffee..or something surely."Buy a lady something hot to drink?"  they could look at her ankle in the light and not freeze to death trying to do it.
